At Resurgence Church, we acknowledge that taking the gospel into places where it is unknown or marginalized is something anyone can do by stepping out their front door and encountering people on the street. Beyond our at-home Missions right here in Evansville, Indiana, we are proud to support five missionary families in five countries - Ukraine, Brazil, France, South Africa, and Papua. Please take a moment to read a bit about each one and understand where their hearts lie and the great work they’ve been doing.

We define our ministry as “disciple making”: contacting people and building relationships, communicating the gospel, helping those who place their faith in Christ to mature in Him and become active as part of developing churches. We do this by praying daily for opportunities, looking for ways to serve and befriend people God brings into our lives. We have inductive Bible studies with anyone who is interested. Those who trust the Lord, we invite to join us in worshiping the Lord on Sundays and to participate in prayer groups and Bible studies that meet in homes during the week.
A disciples of Jesus, as we understand the teaching of His word, is one who has trusted Christ for eternal life and therefore is indwelt by His Spirit; is seeking to know, follow and reflect Christ; lives by “faith expressing itself in love” becoming a reproducing member of the family of God.
We are grateful to be in France representing our Lord Jesus who called us, gave us this privilege and empowers us. France comes near the bottom of the list of countries by numbers of Christians. Here are some facts that we hope will encourage you to join us in prayer for the French people:
Less than 1% of people in France claim to be “born again” Christians. Compare this with about a 30% of Americans who claim the same.
A recent government census revealed that only 45% of the population believes that God exists.
There are about 38,000 communities in France (total population is over 67 million) and less than 3 out of every 100 cities have an “evangelical church” of any kind. The average church membership is about 30.
About 12% of the population is Moslem. Most of these are people who have migrated to France from former French colonies.
